The building in which this museum with many important paintings is situated is in itself worth visiting. It is situated in the centre of Odessa and it is easy to combine the museum with a city trip.
Although the museum has important paintings from for instance Rubens, Hals and Caravaggio, the condition of the paintings and lay of the exhibition halls is somewhat outdated, unfortunately.
Nevertheless the museum is worth visiting and this can be done with or without a professional guide.
